About UMS Saifpur, Hajipur, Vaishali
Utkramit (Upgraded) Middle School (UMS) Saifpur was established in 1961 and is managed by the Department of Education. The school is located in a rural area of Hajipur block, Vaishali district, Bihar, and has served the local community for more than six decades.
The school provides education from Grades 1 to 8 and is co-educational, welcoming both boys and girls. Hindi is the primary medium of instruction, making learning accessible to students from the surrounding villages. The school is connected by an all-weather road, ensuring that children can attend classes throughout the year.
For generations, UMS Saifpur has helped young learners build a strong educational foundation. However, like many rural schools, students had limited access to books beyond their prescribed textbooks. Even so, their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning have always remained strong.
SSF Libraries at UMS Saifpur | Dosti Kitabon Se
Under the Dosti Kitabon Se campaign, Shail-Satya Foundation established an SSF Library at UMS Saifpur to encourage a lifelong love for reading.
The library provides students with storybooks, educational resources, and age-appropriate reading material. As a result, children now have the opportunity to explore ideas beyond the classroom and develop stronger reading habits.
Moreover, the library creates a welcoming space where students can read, imagine, and learn at their own pace. It also helps improve confidence, creativity, and independent thinking from an early age.

every child, regardless of where they live, deserves access to books and the opportunity to dream bigger.
Today, the SSF Library has become an important part of the school community. With every page they turn, students discover new ideas, new aspirations, and new possibilities for the future.
