Refund & Cancellation Policy

Shail-Satya Foundation is a public charitable non-profit trust dedicated to establishing school libraries, promoting constitutional awareness, and hosting free preventive health check-up camps. All financial contributions received through our website or direct banking channels are voluntary, uncoerced gifts deployed towards book procurement, shelf fabrications, and field logistics.

Consequently, donations are generally non-refundable once committed and allocated to field work. However, we recognise that technical malfunctions, accidental duplicate debits, or payment errors may occur, and we review all genuine requests with empathy, fairness, and speed.

Refunds will be considered and processed under the following verified circumstances:

• Technical Glitch or Duplicate Transaction: Where a payment gateway lag or server error resulted in duplicate deductions from your bank account for a single intended donation.
• Typographical or Inadvertent Amount Error: Where a donor accidentally typed an incorrect amount (for example, ₹5,000 instead of ₹500) and reported the mistake immediately.
• Unauthorized or Fraudulent Transaction: Where a donation was executed without the cardholder’s or account owner’s authorization due to identity theft, card loss, or cyber fraud (supported by official bank confirmation).

To enable our finance desk to verify your identity and prevent fraudulent claim attempts, please email connect@shailsatyafoundation.org with the following details:

• Full Legal Name, Email Address, and Phone Number of the Donor.
• Transaction ID / Payment Gateway Order Reference (e.g. Razorpay Payment ID starting with “pay_”).
• Date and exact timestamp of the transaction.
• Exact donation amount deducted in INR.
• Official bank debit confirmation screenshot or bank statement excerpt highlighting the debit.
• Clear, concise reason explaining the error or need for reversal.

In strict accordance with anti-money laundering regulations and Indian trust governance rules:

Once verified and approved by our finance desk, the refund instruction is placed with the payment gateway within 3 business days. Depending on your bank’s clearing cycle, the credit will reflect in your account within seven (7) to ten (10) business days.

Donors who support our ongoing library programs through monthly or recurring pledges retain full flexibility to pause, modify, or cancel their subscription at any time without fees or penalties:

• To cancel a recurring contribution, please send an email to connect@shailsatyafoundation.org with at least seven (7) working days’ notice before your next scheduled debit date.
• Alternatively, you can manage or cancel your automated recurring mandate directly via your bank portal or UPI autopay management application (e.g., BHIM, Google Pay, PhonePe).
• Upon cancellation, our team will confirm via email, and no further debits will take place.

Please note that merchant transaction processing fees, payment gateway service charges, and applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) deducted by third-party processors (such as Razorpay or banking card networks) are governed by external banking terms. Where non-refundable by the gateway, the net refund amount may reflect these small deductions.

If the Foundation organizes physical or virtual workshops, conferences, or symposiums involving a participant registration fee:

• Full (100%) refund will be issued automatically if the event is cancelled or postponed indefinitely by the Foundation.
• Cancellations requested by participants after registration are non-refundable once materials or seating logistics have been locked.

If a digital tax receipt or certification has already been generated and dispatched to the donor prior to the refund request, that receipt becomes null and void immediately upon refund processing. The Foundation will update its statutory financial registers and notify the Income Tax authorities accordingly in our annual statement of donations.
