Please send only what you would be happy for a child to read.

  • Storybooks and children’s books in good condition
  • School textbooks.
  • General knowledge and reference books
  • Comics in good condition.
  • Notebooks, pens, pencils and colours
  • Geometry boxes and school bags in good condition

Please do not send

  • Torn, damaged or very old books
  • Books with missing pages or heavy marking
  • Outdated textbooks, [confirm]
  • Magazines and newspapers
  • Anything not suitable for children
How it works

    Pick books that are complete, clean and readable.

    Pack

    Pack them safely so they arrive dry and undamaged.

    Tell us

    Fill in the short form below, so we look out for your parcel.

    Send

    Post or courier it to our address. SSF shares the shipping cost.

SSF shares your shipping cost We pay 50% of your courier or postage bill, up to a maximum of ₹500, whichever is lower. Keep your shipping receipt and send us a photo of it.

Do I have to pay for shipping?

Only part of it. SSF pays 50% of your courier or postage bill, up to ₹500, whichever is lower. For example, on a ₹800 bill we pay ₹400. On a ₹1,500 bill we pay ₹500, because that is the maximum.

Can I donate new books too?

Yes, new books and stationery are welcome. [Confirm.]

Will you collect from my home?

[Confirm. At present, donors send their parcels to our address.]

Will I get an acknowledgement?

We will thank you by phone or email once your parcel arrives. [Confirm the format.]

What happens to books you cannot use?

[Confirm. For example, passed to another school, or recycled.]
